When I am capturing a client gallery I am always thinking variety. I love being able to freeze in time all those split second moments when a dog is in action or at play but at the same time I also adore those timeless posed images. I some times find it hard to choose if I like posed (dog looking at the camera not in motion) or action better.
I will always capture variety but I am curious what people prefer….If you could only choose one image of your dog, what would you choose? A ‘posed’ image or an action image?
(I use the term ‘posed’ loosely as often they are captured when a dog is doing something natural and happens to turn and look at the camera).
Here are a few I captured of Juno on one of our walks a few weeks back. (often posed images are not really ‘planned’, Juno will always walk a bit ahead and pause to look around for me. It gives me the perfect opportunity to capture a more natural photograph. I try to do the same within client sessions as well, although sometimes other strategies are needed 🙂 ).
