In loving memory

Last fall I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Marcson Homes and interior designer Kristine of Inner Cue Designs (InnerCueDesign@shaw.ca) to create a custom art display for their newest showhome “The Marcus”. Working with a home builder was something I’ve had on my mind for years so to make this a reality was incredible!

This home design is a special one because it is named in loving memory of Tracy’s dear horse, Marcus. The session we did with Marcus was a very difficult one. He had developed a sudden illness and sadly had to be euthanized the following day.

The image below was their final goodbye. No cuing or posing. I asked Tracy to be in the moment. She embraced his neck and he curled around her body as if to hug her. I was sobbed behind the camera and could barely see through the viewfinder to take the image.

“The Marcus” features their photographs from their time together that evening. The decor is made complete with Kristine’s creative and inviting interior design.

The showhome is a very unique design and can be viewed in person at 1 Avonshire Gate in Aspen Trails, Sherwood Park.

See Marcson Homes website for a better view of the layout and gallery of images. There are a few I took below but I am definitely not a real estate photographer! Every photography niche has a very specific skill set.
