I’m excited to be back at the 52 Weeks Project after having missed the past few assignments. From sickness to vacation to more sickness, getting out to create became a little difficult!
This week’s theme is playing with slow shutter speed and panning.
I remember when I started into my photography journey experimenting a lot with slow shutter speeds and different effects. I love the abstract look it can give to an image. Of course this takes quite a bit of practice to get just the right look. I ventured out today with my equipment and my crew (camera backpack, stroller, toddler and dog) to experiment. Well…turns out it became more of a juggling act of trying to manage a crying toddler and a crazy dog. There I was trying to make Juno sit and wait on one end while I got into position so I could then throw a stick for her to run across the field to capture panning images and try to make it a fun experience for my daughter who was not into it whatsoever! My goodness I need someone filming this one day! Here is my feisty girl in all her glory!
*please note: these images are not photoshopped. This is how they came out in camera 🙂

Something a little different!
